I have been playing the violin since I was 9 years old, and played the viola for two years before that! I started in an after-school program and quickly moved to private fiddle lessons paired with orchestra classes in 5th grade. I was taught under acclaimed champion fiddlers, Joe and Jacie Sites. I participated in weekly private and group lessons for years, as well as judged fiddle competitions!

I grew up listening to traditional Celtic and American fiddle music, and that has always been my passion, so I made that my main focus in high school! In my college years, I continued my musical education, taking violin classes alongside my major-specific classes. During my time at the University of Oregon, I briefly taught violin to kids in my free time! Now that I have graduated from college and been in the professional workforce for a while, I want to make fiddle teaching my full-time career.
